Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne Moor is a Hollywood writer and actress who has been recognized for her talent. She's an Sagittarius born on December 3, 1960. She was born in North Carolina. She's the eldest of three siblings, born to Peter Moore Smith who was the paratrooper. Her mother Anne works as a psychotherapist. Her parents are English, Scottish and of mixed descent. Moore moved frequently with her family because of the work that her dad was employed in. It was difficult to make or maintain new friends. Moore was a student at Frankfurt American High School in Germany when her parents moved there. Then she began to perform in the theatre. She stayed on this show until 1988, when she received an Daytime Emmy Award. Her film debut came in 1990 with Tales from the Darkside: The Movie the film was later described by her as an awful low-budget film. She appeared in Short Cuts (1993) and 3 Women (1997) both films by Robert Altman. The former was critically acclaimed and Moore was nominated for several awards for it. Moore was first cast as the lead role for the film Safe (1996). In 1997, her career as an actress reached a turning point after Steven Spielberg cast her to star in Jurassic Park: The Lost World that became the highest grossing film of 1997. In 1999, she appeared in the critically acclaimed Magnolia and received an SAG nomination for her performance. The Hours was her co-starring role in 2002, and it won nine Academy Awards nominations, including Nicole Kidman. Moore was also in The Forgotten 2004, Freedomland, Shelter and Shelter 2010. Non-Stop was her 2014 film. Moore has appeared in countless movies and TV programs. She has starred in a number of TV and film shows. The most recent role she played was When You Finish Save the World 2022. In Hollywood, she has also become a published author for kids. In 2007 she released Freckleface Strawberry and quickly became the N.Y.T. It became a top selling book, then adapted to a television series as well as musical. In 2013, she published her book My Mom Is a Foreigner. A well-respected author and actress, Moore's personal life and experiences are public. She was a bridesmaid to John Robin from 1984 until 1995.
